Strada Vicentina, locally known as the Napoleonica, is a picturesque walking path stretching approximately 4-8 kilometers between Opicina and Prosecco, just outside Trieste, Italy. The path provides panoramic views of the city, the Gulf of Trieste, and the surrounding landscape. It's characterized by its relatively flat terrain, making it suitable for walkers, cyclists, and families. The route is easily accessible via the historic Opicina Tramway or local buses, and offers a relaxing escape into nature without venturing far from the city center. Climbers will also appreciate the nearby cliffs at the end of the path.
If you want to spend the evening peacefully, this place offers beautiful landscapes surrounded by lush greenery and excellent surroundings. You can simply lounge in the sun or pack yourself a quiet and nice picnic.
This place is filled with tourist attractions so you have a lot of options for sightseeing. We made a list of places we wanted to see and missed out on a few museums and other places. Overall we really liked the city and the places here and it was an amazing vacation with the family.
This park is amazing and has beautiful scenery. It is a perfect spot to take a good walk or even go for a run. There is a dedicated trail, well managed in the park. The trees by the trail are just beautiful and provide a lot of good air. There are also benches in the park where you can sit and relax.
