Corso Ercole I d´Este is a significant thoroughfare in Ferrara, designed during the early Baroque period by the Dukes of Este to showcase the city’s noble residences. While envisioned as a grand boulevard, it presents as a relatively narrow, yet elegant, cobbled street. The Corso links the medieval Castello Estense at one end with the Diamanti Palace and Risorgimento Museum further along, offering a pleasant walk past Renaissance architecture, including the University of Ferrara’s Law School. The street extends beyond these landmarks, but many visitors focus on the central stretch.
