The Old Cemetery, officially known as Trumpeldor Cemetery, is one of the earliest Jewish cemeteries in Tel Aviv, established in 1902. It serves as a poignant reminder of the city’s origins and is the burial site of many of its founding fathers and mothers, as well as notable artists, authors, politicians, and Zionist leaders. While not always meticulously maintained, the cemetery offers a unique glimpse into the history of Tel Aviv and the early years of the Israeli state. A guided tour is highly recommended to fully appreciate the stories and significance of those interred within its grounds.
