The Ades Synagogue, established in 1901 by the Ades family, is a significant landmark within Jerusalem's Nachlaot neighborhood. Recently renovated to its original splendor, the synagogue features exquisite murals depicting the 12 tribes of Israel and intricate mother-of-pearl inlayed woodwork, a testament to the renowned Betzalel Art School and artist Jacob Shtarck. Contemporary art by Igal Tamir was added during the 2015-2016 restoration. The synagogue is particularly known for its winter Sabbath prayers, which begin at 3:00 AM and are accompanied by the ancient Syrian Bakashot songs, celebrating themes of creation and spirituality. It is a place of worship for the Aleppine Jewish community.
