The Moses Montefiore Windmill is a landmark structure located on the hill of Yemin Moshe in Jerusalem. Constructed in 1857-1858 by Sir Moses Montefiore, it was intended to provide work and a source of income for the residents of the newly established neighborhood outside the Old City walls. Though it operated for only around 20 years due to the advent of motorized mills, the windmill now serves as a small museum dedicated to Montefiore and his philanthropic efforts. The surrounding area, including the historic neighborhoods of Mishkenot Sha'ananim and Yemin Moshe, offers picturesque streets and views of the Old City.
