Cork Golf Club, located in Little Island, is one of the oldest golf clubs in the South of Ireland. Originally a nine-hole course, it was redesigned by Alister Mackenzie, famed for his work on Augusta National. The 18-hole course is built on limestone, allowing for year-round play, and features a varied landscape including old quarries and riverside holes. The club is praised for its well-maintained condition, challenging layout, and friendly staff. It offers excellent facilities, including a clubhouse with generous portions and reasonable prices, well-equipped locker rooms, and modern buggies and trolleys.
It was one the greatest experiences we had. We loved the place and more than the place the people were simply amazing. The hospitality and the warmth provided to us was beyond expectation and we are forever grateful.
There are places in the world which are so beautiful and magical that going there once does not suffice your travel karma. This is definitely one of those. I loved it here and the place had my heart.
