The Lake Town Clock Tower is a relatively recent addition to Kolkata's landscape, inspired by the iconic Big Ben in London. Constructed as part of a state government initiative to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the Lake Town area, the tower serves as a recognizable landmark along VIP Road. While not a traditional tourist destination, it's a frequently observed structure, particularly for those traveling to or from the airport. The tower is often highlighted during festive seasons with elaborate lighting displays.
This is an amazing place and a must see for all the visitors. It is adorned with beautiful interiors and historic walls. The stories of the past of this building are incredible and the view is just awesome.
While making our itinerary, we included this place towards the end and thought that incase we are behind time, we will skip it. But thank God, we didnt because it was one of the greatest places to visit. Easily accessible, conveniently located, gorgeous location and the easy navigation for the entire tour of this place made it much more fun and enjoyable. I will suggest everyone to please visit this place.
