Erunbeeswarar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is an ancient temple located near Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Believed to be around 2000 years old, the temple is known for its swayambhu (self-manifested) lingam, formed from an anthill, and the absence of traditional abhishekam rituals, with only oil applied. It sits on a small hillock accessible by approximately 60 steps, providing panoramic views of the surrounding city and countryside. The temple is associated with the legend of Erumbu (ants) creating the shivalingam and is considered a place of peace and spiritual significance.
