Sholayar Dam is a significant hydroelectric project and a substantial dam located en route from Valparai to Athirapally Falls. The dam stretches for a considerable distance, with the reservoir often visible alongside the road. While the surrounding landscape is lush and green, the water level can be quite low, especially during drier months. The area offers a peaceful atmosphere and opportunities for photography, but lacks extensive tourist facilities. It's a popular stop for travelers appreciating the natural beauty of the region.
We were so happy to visit this place since our kids really enjoyed it here. There was a special room dedicated for kids where several activities were happening which kept them super entertained and busy. Trust me if you have kids, do visit here because they will definitely enjoy it.
If you want to spend the evening peacefully, this place offers beautiful landscapes surrounded by lush greenery and excellent surroundings. You can simply lounge in the sun or pack yourself a quiet and nice picnic.. We had an unforgettable trip while visiting this amazing place. Everything from our stay, to people, hospitality, food, beautiful locations and views...it was just perfect. It was like we were living a dream vacation.
This is an excellent restaurant which is the new opening in the town and also the talk of the town. The delicacies prepared here are awesome and delicious. The chefs have all come from outside and serve the best of gourmet food. It was exotic and tasty array of food and I highly recommend this place to everyone. Just awesome!!

This is an amazing place and a must see for all the visitors. It is adorned with beautiful interiors and historic walls. The stories of the past of this building are incredible and the view is just awesome.
We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.

This place is filled with tourist attractions so you have a lot of options for sightseeing. We made a list of places we wanted to see and missed out on a few museums and other places. Overall we really liked the city and the places here and it was an amazing vacation with the family.
There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.

We booked a tour package and thought that this would be a good way to see all the major sites of the city but it turned out to be nothing great. The tour bus stopped at all places but had not much time to make us roam around the area. Seemed like they were in a rush all the time and were not good with the local knowledge and culture. It was also expensive, which was not a great thing.
This is a beautiful city which is so nice to visit. The location here is stunning and the views are beautiful. The city is blessed with a lot of ancient buildings and historic places which makes this place really beautiful and nice to go around. We really enjoyed this city and will definitely come back again.
Our visit to this place was amazing. It is so beautiful here and scenery and the views are just WOW.. we were in awe with the sheer beauty of this place. The scenic views are just gorgeous here and dont forget to check out the sunsets which are just stunning and so pretty.
While making our itinerary, we included this place towards the end and thought that incase we are behind time, we will skip it. But thank God, we didnt because it was one of the greatest places to visit. Easily accessible, conveniently located, gorgeous location and the easy navigation for the entire tour of this place made it much more fun and enjoyable. I will suggest everyone to please visit this place.
