Chinna Kallar Falls is a natural attraction located near Valparai, Tamil Nadu, often referred to as the 'Cherapunji of South India' due to its high rainfall. The falls are situated within a dense forest, requiring a trek from the parking area. Visitors are typically accompanied by a forest guide, primarily due to the presence of elephants and challenging road conditions. The area is known for its lush greenery and serene atmosphere, but also for a significant leech population, particularly during the monsoon season. While the waterfall itself is relatively small, the journey and surrounding environment offer a unique experience for those seeking an off-the-beaten-path destination.
It is a great place to stay and gives you much luxury and comfort at a great price. The service is great and the management was very prompt and was very helpful and assisted us with everything. The rooms were big and spacious, well maintained and the views from the window of the city skyline was just stunning. Loved my experience here!
