Surya Kund

Surya Kund is a significant sacred site within a temple complex, revered for its unique thermal properties. Legend states that Goddess Yamuna meditated here for thousands of years, and in response, the Sun God blessed the waters with a constant, boiling temperature. This 'Divya Shila' (divine stone) is worshipped before other rituals. Devotees traditionally offer rice and potatoes cooked in the hot springs as Prasad, taking the cooked offering home with them.
