Valluvar Kottam Monument is a tribute to the classical Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar, renowned for his work the Thirukkural. Constructed in the late 20th century, the monument is characterized by its impressive stone chariot, reminiscent of those found in Thiruvarur temples. It also houses a large auditorium capable of accommodating over 4,000 people. While initially intended as a cultural center, it now frequently hosts exhibitions, trade shows, and government functions. The surrounding park area, though present, is often noted as being poorly maintained.
It is a great place to stay and gives you much luxury and comfort at a great price. The service is great and the management was very prompt and was very helpful and assisted us with everything. The rooms were big and spacious, well maintained and the views from the window of the city skyline was just stunning. Loved my experience here!
This park is amazing and has beautiful scenery. It is a perfect spot to take a good walk or even go for a run. There is a dedicated trail, well managed in the park. The trees by the trail are just beautiful and provide a lot of good air. There are also benches in the park where you can sit and relax.
We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.
It is a beautiful monument and a magnificent creation. It has a lot of history and culture associated with it. You can immerse in this gigantic monument with all its glory and enjoy the beautiful architecture and amazing views.
