Temghar Dam is best suited for nature lovers, photographers, and travelers seeking a peaceful escape from the city. It's also a convenient stop for those traveling to Lavasa.
The monsoon season (June-September) offers the most dramatic views of the dam and surrounding landscape, but also presents potential safety concerns due to high water levels. Post-monsoon (October-November) provides clear skies and pleasant weather.
Weekdays are generally less crowded than weekends. Early morning or late afternoon offer the best light for photography and a more pleasant temperature.
The dam is easily accessible by road. However, the terrain around the dam may be uneven in places. Accessibility for individuals with mobility impairments may be limited in certain areas.
The dam area is generally safe for children, but close supervision is recommended due to the presence of water. There are no dedicated play areas or facilities specifically for children.
Pets are generally allowed, but owners are responsible for their behavior and cleanliness.
There are numerous small restaurants and tea stalls located on the hills overlooking the dam, offering basic refreshments like tea, snacks (bhajji), and light meals. Restroom facilities are limited and may not be readily available.
There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.
