Maharaj Baug and Zoo, established in 1894 by the Bhonsle dynasty rulers, is a historical landmark in Nagpur. The attraction comprises a zoo with a limited collection of animals and a large garden area. While the zoo itself is considered small and in need of maintenance, the spacious grounds provide a pleasant environment for picnics, walking, and recreation. The aquarium offers a diverse collection of fish. It's a popular destination for locals, particularly during weekends and holidays.
This was a beautiful park which has pretty scenery and lush greenery. It has walking pathways with proper trails lined with pretty trees and there are also plenty of benches to sit there for the people. The musical fountain was the highlight and it was amazing.
We booked a tour package and thought that this would be a good way to see all the major sites of the city but it turned out to be nothing great. The tour bus stopped at all places but had not much time to make us roam around the area. Seemed like they were in a rush all the time and were not good with the local knowledge and culture. It was also expensive, which was not a great thing.
It is a great place to stay and gives you much luxury and comfort at a great price. The service is great and the management was very prompt and was very helpful and assisted us with everything. The rooms were big and spacious, well maintained and the views from the window of the city skyline was just stunning. Loved my experience here!
