Kattikkayam Waterfalls

Kattikkayam Waterfalls is a natural attraction located on the route to Illikkal Kallu in Kottayam district. The water source is utilized by local communities for drinking, emphasizing the importance of maintaining its cleanliness. Access involves a roughly one-kilometer trek, either uphill from Mechal or downhill from Pazhukkakanam. The surrounding area is suitable for picnics, and the water provides a cool respite. While the trek is generally pleasant, the descent from Pazhukkakanam can be steep and slippery, requiring caution. Limited amenities are available, with only small tea shops present in Mechal.
