The Oriental Research Institute in Mysore was established in 1891 by Maharaja Sri Chamaraja Wadeyar with the aim of collecting and preserving Sanskrit and Kannada palm leaf manuscripts. Today, it serves as a prominent research center, attracting scholars and those with a keen interest in Indian history and culture. The building itself is a significant heritage structure, recently restored by the Archaeological Survey of India, and is admired for its intricate design and architectural beauty. The institute’s collection encompasses a wide range of historical materials, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich past.
It is the most beautiful building I witnessed which is architecturally detailed. The building structure was royal and the building exhibits a regal vibe to it. Visiting this place was an amazing experience and the place is truly a stunning place.
The [sight.name] is home to a huge collection of art pieces and painting, few of which are really renowned and popular. We got this amazing opportunity to visit this place, get to know the history associated with it and see everything. As an art student and lover, this place was a heaven for me.
The place is so beautiful that I could not take my eyes off it. The place is a heritage building which has stunning architecture and the Victorian style walls are simply amazing. We visited the place on a weekday and it had a lot of people. But things were arranged in a proper way and we could have the tour nicely.
