Pattabhirama Temple is a significant religious site in Hampi, dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Rama. The temple complex is characterized by its expansive grounds, pillared walkways surrounding the central structure, and four gateway towers. While partially ruined due to the historical events of 1565, remnants of its intricate architecture and sculptures remain. A smaller shrine dedicated to a goddess is also present within the complex, alongside a large hall. The temple is situated approximately half a kilometer from the Hampi Archaeological Museum and is known for being relatively uncrowded, making it a peaceful destination for visitors.
The place is so beautiful that I could not take my eyes off it. The place is a heritage building which has stunning architecture and the Victorian style walls are simply amazing. We visited the place on a weekday and it had a lot of people. But things were arranged in a proper way and we could have the tour nicely.
We booked a tour package and thought that this would be a good way to see all the major sites of the city but it turned out to be nothing great. The tour bus stopped at all places but had not much time to make us roam around the area. Seemed like they were in a rush all the time and were not good with the local knowledge and culture. It was also expensive, which was not a great thing.
