The Shiva Temple in Baijnath is a historically significant structure dating back to the 11th century. Constructed from stone, it is believed to be the site where Ravan, after receiving boons from Shiva, inadvertently installed the Shivalinga. The temple is partially restored and surrounded by gardens and the Kheer Ganga river. It's a place of worship for locals and a peaceful destination for those seeking a connection with ancient culture and spirituality. The temple's architecture reflects ancient art and craftsmanship, and it is known for its clean surroundings and tranquil atmosphere.
