The Egri Road Beatles Museum is a unique and surprisingly comprehensive tribute to The Beatles, housed in an unassuming location in Eger, Hungary. Founded by a lifelong enthusiast who began collecting at age nine, the museum boasts an impressive array of artifacts, including magazines, gadgets, concert tickets, pins, and clocks sourced from around the world. Visitors begin their self-guided tour with a 12-minute documentary providing background on the band's origins. The museum's unexpected presence in a smaller city adds to its charm, offering a delightful surprise for music lovers and casual tourists alike. English-speaking guides are available to enhance the experience.
We decided to have a self guided tour and it was a good experience. This was a cheap option and it was nice because we got to know so much while visiting these famous places. All the facts and the historic stories were part of these self guided tours and it was nice to get all the information.
