Preobrazsenszka Church, constructed around 1746 following the arrival of Serbian settlers in Szentendre, is a significant landmark of the town’s cultural heritage. While the initial structure dates back to the mid-18th century, the bell tower and facade were completed in 1778. Dedicated to the feast of Christ's Transfiguration, the church is also known as the Tabacka Church, referencing the tanners – a prominent trade among the early settlers. The interior boasts a wealth of religious art, including paintings, icons, and a particularly notable iconostasis believed to be the work of an anonymous Ukrainian painter. Its artistic and historical value makes it a worthwhile destination for visitors.
