The Statue of Mounted András Hadik is a bronze sculpture depicting Count András Hadik, a celebrated Hungarian Hussar General and Field Marshal. Created by György Vastagh Jr., it was erected in 1937 as a memorial to the 3rd Hussar Regiment. The statue is located on Uri Street in Budapest, near St. Matthias Church and the Hospital in the Rocks. While a fine example of equestrian sculpture, it is perhaps best known for the local custom of touching the horse's testicles, believed to bring good fortune, particularly to students hoping for success on exams. The statue's patina shows significant wear in this area due to the frequent touching.
