The Monument of Lysikrates is a 334/335 BC choragic monument dedicated to Lysikrates, a wealthy patron who funded theatrical productions. It stands as the only surviving example of its kind in Athens, originally one of many lining the Street of Tripods. The structure is a circular tholos with six Corinthian columns, showcasing an early use of this architectural style externally. Its location in the modern Plaka district offers a unique juxtaposition of ancient history and contemporary urban life. The monument served as a display for the tripod awarded to Lysikrates for winning the dramatic competition at the Theatre of Dionysus.
There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.
