St.-Marien-Kirche

St.-Marien-Kirche is a prominent Lutheran Gothic brick church, distinguished by its partially collapsed tower – a result of 17th-century damage. Despite the tower's reduced height, it remains a significant landmark. The church's interior is characterized by its vast scale, supported by octagonal columns and adorned with large lanterns. Notable features include a beautiful organ, a trumpeting angel sculpture, and well-preserved frescoes within the arches. Visitors can ascend the tower for expansive views of Rugen Island and the surrounding town.
