The Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM), located on Frankfurt's Museumsufer, explores the world of architecture through a variety of exhibits. Housed in a building with a fascinating history – retaining its 18th-century exterior walls but featuring a redesigned interior by Oswald Mathias Ungers in 1984 – the museum showcases architectural models, drawings, and installations. Exhibits range from historical overviews to contemporary explorations of urban design and social issues. While the permanent collection is relatively small, the museum is known for its engaging temporary exhibitions and annual German Architecture Prize displays.
We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.
There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.
This is one of the most iconic and interesting buildings of the city where the architecture of this place speaks volume of its importance. It is a great place to visit and its tour throws some light on the history and working of this place.
