During the Soviet period, the building underwent various uses, including functioning as a laboratory. In 1989, it was transferred to the Georgian Orthodox Church and has since become a significant place of worship. The cathedral’s architecture is characterized by its Gothic Revival style, reminiscent of European Catholic churches, yet it distinctly reflects its current Georgian Orthodox identity through its interior arrangement of icons and worship practices. Visitors often note the blend of architectural styles and the peaceful atmosphere.

Our journey to this place was nothing less than a magnificent memory. This is the most beautiful place I have visited and stayed. I have never experienced luxury like that and the hospitality was top notch. I am still so grateful for all the people who hosted us and took us on an incredible journey..
