Les Chevaux de Marly are a pair of lead statues, originally commissioned by Louis XV for the gardens of the Château de Marly. Created by sculptor Guillaume Coustou, these imposing horses represent the strength and nobility of the French monarchy. They were moved to their current location at the Place de la Concorde in 1794 and serve as a grand entrance to one of Paris’s most iconic squares. The sculptures are admired for their detailed craftsmanship and contribute significantly to the aesthetic beauty of the Champs-Élysées.
