Fort de la Pompelle is a historic fortification located near Reims, France. Constructed after the Franco-Prussian War, it served as a defensive structure and was utilized during both World Wars. Today, it functions as a museum, showcasing a comprehensive collection of military artifacts, with a particular emphasis on German helmets. The fort provides visitors with insights into the strategic importance of the region and the realities of early 20th-century warfare. The site offers both indoor exhibits and outdoor views of the surrounding countryside.
We stayed in this hotel and everything about this place was impressive. The service, the amenities, the room, the staff and even the food. The hotel is centrally located in the city and all the iconic places are very near to it. The public transport is also easily available from near the hotel so that commuting wont be an issue.
The place is a home to some of the most impressive collections of art and design and the display is majestic and stunning. It takes you some time to enjoy the whole museum but if you are an intriguing person just like me, you will love it here.. This is an amazing place and a must see for all the visitors. It is adorned with beautiful interiors and historic walls. The stories of the past of this building are incredible and the view is just awesome.. We were planning for this vacation for a long time and it was really wonderful. Visiting these amazing places was a unique experience and we could make a day out of it enjoying and having interesting conversations with the locals. The people were really hospitable and warm and made sure we don't feel left out.
