Lac Laffrey is a picturesque lake situated approximately 30 minutes south of Grenoble. It offers a refreshing escape, particularly during hot summer months. The lake is known for its consistent winds, making it a popular spot for sailboarding. Visitors can enjoy free access to beaches, and the surrounding natural environment provides a tranquil setting. While it can become crowded on weekends, quieter areas can be found along the trails. Basic food and beverage options are available nearby.
Lac Laffrey is ideal for families, couples, and individuals seeking a relaxing outdoor experience. It's particularly well-suited for those interested in water sports or hiking.
Summer (June-August) is the most popular time to visit, but May and September offer pleasant weather with fewer crowds.
Weekdays are significantly less crowded than weekends. Early mornings and late afternoons offer the most tranquility and better photo opportunities.

It is a great place to stay and gives you much luxury and comfort at a great price. The service is great and the management was very prompt and was very helpful and assisted us with everything. The rooms were big and spacious, well maintained and the views from the window of the city skyline was just stunning. Loved my experience here!
