The Governor’s Palace, built in 1896, originally served as the residence for Hungarian governors and high officials. Designed by Alajos Hauszmanin in a late Renaissance style, the building now functions as a museum dedicated to the maritime and historical legacy of Rijeka and the surrounding region. It hosts a variety of exhibitions, often incorporating interactive elements, and is a prominent landmark within Rijeka’s museum district.
