Stube Petra Kružica are a significant historical landmark in Rijeka, Croatia, consisting of 561 stone steps built between 1531 and 1930. Originally constructed by Captain Petar Kružić, the staircase served to connect the city center with the Trsat hill and the Trsat Sanctuary. Historically, pilgrims would ascend the steps, often on their knees, to reach the sanctuary dedicated to Mother Mary. The climb is physically demanding but provides a unique perspective on the city and a connection to its religious and cultural heritage.
