The Tortureum - Museum of Torture in Zagreb presents a collection of instruments and methods used throughout history for inflicting pain and punishment. The museum is relatively small, consisting of a few rooms, but offers a comprehensive overview of torture techniques. Visitors are provided with a tablet to scan QR codes accompanying each exhibit, unlocking detailed information, images, and videos in multiple languages. The atmosphere is intentionally dark and eerie, enhanced by ambient sounds. The museum aims to educate visitors about the darker aspects of human history and the cruelty humans are capable of.
We stayed in for one night here and the hotel was too expensive and not at all worth it. The place was a little crappy in shape and a lot of maintenance was going on and all the rooms were not even furnished properly. But we had no other option and had to stay therefore had to sacrifice and paid extra to stay a night.
We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.
There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.
It was one the greatest experiences we had. We loved the place and more than the place the people were simply amazing. The hospitality and the warmth provided to us was beyond expectation and we are forever grateful.
