Stella Maris is a modern church constructed in the 1960s, prominently situated on a hillside overlooking the Porto Cervo harbor and marina. Designed by architect Michele Busiri Vici, the church’s exterior is a distinctive bright white, often compared to the style of Antoni Gaudí. The interior is simple yet inspiring, featuring a 17th-century organ, local artwork, and a painting attributed to El Greco, the Mater Dolorosa. It serves as a peaceful retreat amidst the luxury of the Costa Smeralda, offering visitors a moment for reflection and appreciation of art and architecture.
It is a great place to stay and gives you much luxury and comfort at a great price. The service is great and the management was very prompt and was very helpful and assisted us with everything. The rooms were big and spacious, well maintained and the views from the window of the city skyline was just stunning. Loved my experience here!
There was nothing special about this speciality hotel and it was such a disappointment. The place was literally in ruins and it pinches me to see all my money goes to waste. The rooms were really dirty and unkept and the service was pathetic. I wont recommend this to anyone and it was the worst experience.
