Hannuoyi Ancient City is a historical site located approximately 40 kilometers from Kashgar, Xinjiang. Once a thriving city along the Silk Road, today it primarily consists of the remains of a Buddhist pagoda (Mor Pagoda) and surrounding structures. The site is characterized by its isolation and the challenging access due to heightened security measures in the region. Visitors often combine a trip to the ruins with a visit to a local Saturday market, offering a more immersive cultural experience. The ruins themselves are relatively modest, but the journey and the surrounding landscape contribute to the overall appeal.
