The Shanghai Custom House is a prominent landmark situated on the Bund, a historic waterfront area in Shanghai. Constructed in 1927, the building features a striking neoclassical facade and a 300-foot-high clock tower inspired by London's Big Ben. Originally serving as a customs checkpoint for Shanghai's bustling port, it continues to function as a Custom House today. The building's architecture blends granite and brick, with eight stories facing the river and five on Sichuan Road. It is best viewed from the elevated promenade along the Huangpu River.
