Liaoning Provincial Museum

The Liaoning Provincial Museum is a significant cultural institution dedicated to preserving and exhibiting the history, art, and artifacts of Liaoning Province. Originally located in downtown Shenyang, the museum has recently relocated to a new, expansive facility in the Southern Suburbs. While the full collection is still in the process of being moved, the first floor is open to the public, featuring impressive displays of jade, pottery, and calligraphy. The museum is known for its accessibility to international visitors, with many exhibits offering translations in English, Japanese, and Korean. It provides a comprehensive look at the region's past, from the Paleolithic age through to more recent times.
