Dehang Canyon is a relatively undiscovered natural area in China, reminiscent of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in its landforms. The area centers around Dehang Village, the starting point for two primary hiking routes: one leading to Flying Sand Waterfall (approximately 2 hours round trip) and the other to Questioning Sky Platform (approximately 3 hours round trip). The village itself is home to the Miao people and features traditional architecture, particularly near Jielong Bridge at the foot of Pangu Peak. The region is characterized by rice fields and striking scenery, but visitors should be prepared for a lack of English signage and limited English speakers.
