Ladder Street is a historic stone step street in Sheung Wan, constructed between 1841 and 1850. It serves as one of the few remaining physical connections to Hong Kong’s colonial past. The street, essentially a series of steps, links Queen's Road Central to the Mid-Levels, providing a unique pedestrian route through a hilly section of the city. While the street itself is relatively simple, the surrounding area boasts shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions like the Man Mo Temple. Visitors often note the steep incline and recommend taking the escalators or a bus to the top and walking down.
