Yin Xu is a significant archaeological site located near Anyang, China, representing the ruins of one of the ancient and major historical capitals of the Shang Dynasty. The site contains the remains of palaces, temples, royal tombs, and sacrificial pits. While some original artifacts are housed in the Yin Xu Museum and other institutions like the National Museum in Beijing, the site itself features burial pits – some original, others replicas – where significant discoveries were initially made in the early 20th century.
