Kaiyuan Temple is a significant Buddhist temple located in Chaozhou, China, with a history spanning over 1500 years, dating back to 686 AD. The temple complex features numerous halls, courtyards, and two prominent 45-meter stone pagodas. It serves as a functioning temple with monks conducting daily prayers and is a center for Buddhist worship. The grounds also include a maritime museum housing the remains of a 1000-year-old boat discovered in 1974.
