Juyongguan Great Wall is a strategically important pass through the mountains north of Beijing, and a significant section of the Great Wall. Originally constructed in the 14th century during the Ming Dynasty, it served as a vital military defense. Today, it’s a popular tourist destination known for its impressive architecture, breathtaking scenery, and challenging terrain. The section between Fortress 10 and 12 is often less crowded. Visitors should be prepared for a physically demanding experience with steep, uneven steps. Despite the challenges, the historical significance and panoramic views make it a worthwhile destination.
