St. Dimitar of Thessaloniki Church is one of the oldest churches in Tarnovo, Bulgaria, with roots tracing back to the Asen dynasty and the start of the uprising against Byzantine rule. While architecturally impressive, the church is particularly noted for its interior artwork, which was repainted during the communist period, resulting in a distinctive and often unconventional depiction of religious themes. Access can be somewhat difficult, requiring a walk uphill, and visitors have occasionally encountered the church being closed.
The cathedral is hundreds of years old and has a magnificent architecture. The murals and the walls are simply stunning. We got a chance to witness the prayer ceremony and it was divine. Do visit this place and do enjoy it.
