The Church of the Assumption is a working Orthodox church located in the heart of Nessebar's historic Old Town. Unlike many of the ancient churches in the area, which have been converted into museums or galleries, this church remains an active place of worship. Built in the 19th century, it stands out with its taller tower and more spacious interior. Visitors appreciate the opportunity to experience a genuine religious site and observe ongoing services. The church also features a small shop selling religious items such as icons, beads, and holy water.
This was not on our list to travel and visit but we decided to take a little detour and visited this place and this turned out to be a great adventure and we really enjoyed our time here. It was a place worth visiting and I recommend the visit to this place to everyone.
The cafe is a little place situated in the middle of the buzzing market of the city and is a cute little place with a really warm ambience and very nice and friendly people and staff. The food was great and had a lot of amazing local flavors. It was totally worth the visit and we really enjoyed the food and hospitality.
