Morića Han is a significant historical site in Sarajevo, originally constructed in the late 16th century as a village (vakuf) by an Ottoman ruler. It served as a caravanserai, providing safe lodging and facilities for traveling merchants and their caravans. Uniquely, it is the only remaining structure of its kind. Today, the building has been repurposed, containing a variety of businesses including carpet shops, coffee houses, and bars. While the original function is no longer present, the building’s architectural integrity and historical importance remain.
