Old Sarajevo Clock Tower

The Old Sarajevo Clock Tower, constructed in the 17th century, stands as a prominent landmark in the heart of Sarajevo’s historic Baščaršija district. Originally built during the Ottoman Empire, it is notable for being one of the first clocks of its kind in the region and is believed to be the only public clock in the world that accurately displays time according to the lunar calendar, crucial for determining Islamic prayer times.
