Cathedral Mosque

The Cathedral Mosque in Minsk, opened in November 2016, stands as the largest mosque in Belarus. It was built as a faithful replica of a previous mosque that was unfortunately destroyed during the Communist era. The original decision to construct a stone mosque on this site dates back to the late 19th century, though construction faced interruptions and ultimately the original structure was lost. The current mosque serves as a prominent religious and cultural landmark, offering a space for worship and a testament to the enduring Islamic heritage in the region. Its architecture blends traditional Islamic design with modern construction techniques.
