The Marionette Museum is located inside Hohensalzburg Fortress in Salzburg, Austria. It displays a variety of marionettes, both historical and modern, representing different shows and characters. The collection is associated with the renowned Salzburg Marionette Theater, and visitors can see examples of the craftsmanship involved in creating these puppets. Exhibits include scenes from 'The Sound of Music' and other productions. The museum is relatively small and can be visited quickly as part of a larger tour of the fortress.
This iconic attraction of the city is really great and has FREE admission which was a great plus. The place has so much to offer for everyone that you wont get bored for a second. The place is huge and offers so much to see. It is a great display of collectables which is truly educational.
We were so excited to visit this place but were thoroughly disappointed while reaching and looking at the mismanaged affair. The place was crowded with tourists and there was no system to arrange them. The staff was also very rude.
