Spring (September-November) and Autumn (March-May) offer the most pleasant weather conditions.
Weekdays are generally less crowded than weekends. Early morning or late afternoon are best for optimal lighting and cooler temperatures, especially during the warmer months.
The main roads within the park are generally accessible to 2WD vehicles, although the last 5km is unsealed. Some walking trails are easier than others; the Panorama Walk is considered relatively easy. The Ridgetop Walk is more challenging and may not be suitable for all fitness levels. Facilities are basic but functional.
The park offers opportunities for children to explore and climb on rocks, but supervision is essential, especially near cliff edges. The Gorge Walk and Panorama Walk are suitable for older children. There are no dedicated play areas or changing facilities.
Pets are generally not allowed in the park to protect native wildlife.
There are no cafes or restaurants within the park. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own food and water. Picnic areas with tables and gas BBQs are available at the campgrounds. Restrooms are available but are pit toilets.
