Munghorn Gap Nature Reserve offers a relatively flat 8km walk along a wide, sandy fire trail to Castle Rock. The trail is well-formed and generally easy, though the final approach to the best views involves some rock scrambling. The destination features unique sandstone formations resembling a city, offering panoramic views of the surrounding valley. The reserve is known for its birdlife and peaceful atmosphere. The car park can be a little difficult to locate, but is signposted. Allow 2-2.5 hours for the walk and exploration.
